As you may be aware, curbside green waste is no longer collected separately from regular trash due to the absence of a processing outlet. Efforts to identify a new processing unit have not been successful. Therefore, the City’s curbside green waste program will be discontinued.
What does this mean for residents?
- All existing green waste containers will be billed as a second garbage can. The monthly fee will remain $9.00 per month (rates subject to change by the City Council) but will be billed year-round, resulting in an additional three months of charges annually.
- If you wish to have your green waste can picked up, please contact the Information Center (385-201-1000) to arrange for the removal of your green waste can.
Residents may also drop off clean green waste for composting at the North Point Transfer Station in Lindon. Please visit their website (www.utahcountygarbage.org) for current fees and additional information.
