Utility Services FAQ

Q: What services are covered in my Lehi City bill?
A: All services except your gas and phone. (i.e. power, water, sewer, garbage, pressurized irrigation, storm drain fees and taxes.)

Q: When do I get my bill and when is it due?
A: If you are a cycle 1 customer you will receive your statement on or before the 20th of each month and the due date is the 10th of the following month. If you are a cycle 2, you will receive your statements on or before the 5th and the due date is the 25th of that month.

Q: Where can I call for questions about my bill?
A: Please call the Information Center at 385.201.1000, Mon.- Fri 8 AM to 5PM

Q: Where do I sign up for gas service?
A: Call Dominion Energy at 1.800.323.5517

Q: What payment options are available to make my utility payments?
A: We offer several ways for you to pay your bill:

  • You may pay online at www.xpressbillpay.com.
  • You may send your payment in the mail.
  • You may put it into the drop box located in the parking lot south of City Hall.
  • You may pay in person at City Hall (153 N 100 E) Mon.-Fri. 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Q: When is my garbage day?

Q: When is my recycling picked up?
A: Recycling is picked up every other week on your regular garbage day. Click here for the 2024 Garbage and Recycling Calendar.

Q: What holidays are observed by Waste Management?
A: Garbage and recycling collection will not occur on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. During a holiday week, service will be delayed by one day for all days that fall on or after that holiday. Normal schedule will resume the following week. Refer to the recycling calendar for specific holiday dates. When the holiday lands on a Sunday, there will be NO delay in service.

Q: What is the blue can, how is it different?
A: The blue can is a recycle can.  Only certain items can go into it and it is picked up every other week with your regular garbage day pickup. For more recycling tips click here.

Q: What if the garbage truck does not pick my cans up?
A: Waste Management states that garbage cans must be put out for collection by 6:00 a.m. the morning of your garbage day.  Waste Management will not return to empty a garbage can that was not put out by 6:00 a.m..  If you had your can out by 6:00 am on your regular garbage day and it was missed, please call the Lehi City Information Center at 385.201.1000

Q: What do I do if my can is damaged or broken?
A: Call the Lehi City Information Center at 385.201.1000

Q: What am I charged for garbage service?
A: Each resident receives one garbage can at the monthly cost of $14.43.

Q: What do I do if I would like to have additional cans?
A: Call the Lehi City Information Center at 385.201.1000 to order an additional can. Additional cans are $9.50 per month. A second recycling can is available at no charge.  You must keep cans for at least six months.

Q: I have a larger than normal amount of garbage I need to get rid of, where do I go?
A: There is a Utah County landfill, located at 2000 W. 200 S. in Lindon. Call 801.225.8538 or visit their website for more information. If you pay garbage to Lehi City, you are entitled to one dump pass per year available to pick up at the Information Center. The dump pass gives you three punches to use at the North Pointe Solid Waste landfill. Each punch is good for up to 499 lbs.  If your load is over 499 lbs, then your pass will be punched accordingly. Please reach out to North Pointe Solid Waste for any questions on your items you are taking to their facility.

Q: Where can we go to dump green waste, lawn clippings and limbs?

Q: Does Lehi City offer a Dumpster Rental program?
A: If you pay garbage fees to Lehi City you are eligible to participate in a dumpster rental program that allows garbage customers to use an oversize dumpster for five days. Dumpsters are delivered on Thursday by 5:00 pm and picked up the following Tuesday.  The dumpster must be placed on the applicant’s property – not in the street.  The dimensions of the dumpster are 24’x8’x7’ (24 feet long, 8 feet wide, 7 feet tall). The fee for the dumpster program is $200.00. Dumpster rentals will NOT be refunded if the refund is requested less than 2 weeks before your scheduled delivery.

The following items are NOT allowed in the dumpster: gas tanks, tires, batteries, motor oils, paint, solvents, refrigerators, rocks, dirt, concrete, liquids, air conditioners, fluorescent lights, and electronics.
