At approximately 10:17 a.m., Lehi Fire Department responded to reports of an apartment building under construction on fire near Flight Park Road in the Traverse Mountain area.
Upon arrival, crews found a four-story structure fully engulfed in flames, as well as an adjacent one-story structure. The majority of the building has collapsed, and fire crews are closely monitoring two nearby cranes.
The fire is now contained, and no injuries have been reported. The fire does not pose a threat to nearby homes, and the cause is under investigation. Crews remain on scene performing preventative maintenance and will continue monitoring the structures. Smoke may be visible for the next couple of days.
Agencies assisting in the response include the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, Spanish Fork Police Department, Draper Police and Fire Departments, Saratoga Springs Fire Department, American Fork Fire Department, Pleasant Grove Fire Department, Orem Fire Department, Utah County Fire, and Lone Peak Fire District.
