Irrigation Season is April 15 – October 15
While you can turn on your pressurized irrigation connections on April 15, we’re encouraging everyone to hold off on watering your lawns until May 1st. By waiting a little longer to use secondary water, we can make a significant impact on water conservation, especially during the hotter months of summer.
On February 22, 2022, the Lehi City Council passed Ordinance #11-2022, allowing the use of Lehi’s secondary pressurized irrigation water system (the water used for irrigation purposes) during the dates of April 15 through October 15.
Residents installing new sod are encouraged to do so by September 15 to allow 30 days of daily watering to help establish the lawn before the regular irrigation season ends. If you have laid new sod or planted new seed near the end of the irrigation season, you may continue watering the newly planted area for a few weeks after October 15, if needed, to help it become established.
If you have questions about secondary pressurized irrigation or these exceptions, please contact the Lehi City Water Department at 385-201-1900.
We are currently in Phase 2 of our Water Shortage Management Plan. Water users are encourages to follow responsible watering habits. Follow the lawn water guide at www.conservewater.utah.gov. It is important for any Lehi water user (municipal, commercial, and residential) to understand how to appropriately respond to a water shortage and what action should be taken by city administration and Lehi water users. The provisions of this plan apply to all persons, customers, and property utilizing water provided by the Lehi City Water Division.

Parks & Grounds Watering Schedule
The Parks Division has developed a watering schedule to maintain our parks and facilities. The goal is to apply 1/2 inch of water per water cycle. The frequency of watering varies depending on the type of facility and it’s primary use.
