Welcome to the Rippy Literacy Center

The Rippy Literacy Center offers free tutoring services to all Lehi students, including reading (K-4th grades) and math (1st-4th grades). There is also a morning ABC Pre-K program during the school year for children who are going to Kindergarten in the next year. The Center serves approximately 200 – 400 students per session and has 50-100 volunteers per year. Reading & Math classes are available fall, winter, spring, and summer with limited availability. ABC classes are available 2 sessions per year, Fall and Spring.

News and Announcements


Our Spring After-School classes continue this month and will run through May 14, 2026.

The Appointment Scheduler for the Summer Reading & Math session will be available on our website May 4th. With this scheduler you can sign up for a day and time during our open registration to bring in new students for a placement assessment and see what days and times we have available for classes.  These registration dates will be May 18th through the 20th from 3 pm to 5:30 pm. The Summer Session runs from June 1st through July 23rd. 

We are offering a non-resident option for those families that live outside of the Lehi City boundaries.  Open registration for non-residents for the Summer 2026 session will be held at the Literacy Center May 21 from 3 pm to 5:30 pm.  The cost for non-resident students is $75 per student/subject/session.  

Our After-School and Summer Reading & Math programs offer Reading & Math classes for Lehi students K through 4th grade.  There are 4 sessions per year, classes are 45 minutes twice a week either Monday & Wednesday OR Tuesday & Thursday. During the school year class times are at 4 pm or 5 pm and during the summer they are 9 am, 10 am, 11 am or 12 noon.

Our Spring ABC Pre-K session continues this month and will run through May 14, 2026.

Our ABC Pre-K program is a kindergarten readiness program for 4 year old students.  This program has 2 sessions per year that offers classes that are 2 hours twice a week, Mon/Wed OR Tues/Thurs from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The next available ABC Session will be Fall 2026, eligible students for this session must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2026. Registration for this session will be some time the first week of August 2026.
