Our Purpose
The Lehi Youth Council is dedicated to providing leadership training and service opportunities for interested Lehi youth in grades 9-12. The Youth Council helps elected officials understand the needs of children and youth in the community and works with various city groups to provide service and leadership opportunities. Youth Council meetings will typically be held twice a month, with the opportunity to also serve on the Youth Council Executive Board.
Each January, Youth Council members participate in a legislative session at the Utah State Capitol, where they can meet legislators and listen to guest speakers. The youth members will have a say in selecting activities and service opportunities throughout the year. Joining the Youth Council is an excellent way to learn about local government, get involved in the community, make new friends, volunteer at Lehi City-sponsored events, and enhance your resume or college application.
Requirements
A member of the Lehi Youth Council must:
- Live in or attend school in Lehi City
- Be in grades 9-12 for 2025-2026 with citizenship in good standing

Youth Council participants will have the chance to attend various conferences throughout the year. Further details about a parent meeting to discuss these events will be provided.
