This week is National Police Week (May 11–17). A time to reflect, remember, and recognize the dedication and sacrifice of law enforcement officers across the country.

🚧 Traffic Calming Testing This Summer & Fall 🚧
Lehi City is testing temporary traffic calming measures at key crosswalks near parks, schools, and trails to improve safety for pedestrians.

Starting this month, we’ll be installing flexible reflector poles at 5–6 locations to simulate curb extensions. Each site will have the poles in place for a few weeks while we collect data before and after installation to evaluate how well they help slow traffic and increase visibility.

📍Upcoming Test Locations (Testing will be about a month apart):
• 1580 E @ 900 N (near a park)
• Airport Rd @ 600 E (near a park)
• Jordan River Trail @ 1500 N (trail crossing)
• 3830 W @ 1500 N (near a park)
*There will be additional test locations announced at a later date.

✅ What to Expect:
• No permanent changes—just flexible reflector poles
• Each location will be active for a few weeks
• We'll be using this data to inform future decisions on street safety

Thinking about running for office?

Lehi City will have two City Council seats and one Mayor seat up for election in 2025. The term for each seat runs from January 2026 through December 2029.

The official Declaration of Candidacy filing period is June 2 through June 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Most candidates must file in person with the City Recorder, per Utah Code 20A-9-203.
