Cultural Organization Grants Background:
Cultural Organization Grants are funded by the Parks, Arts, Recreation, and Culture (PARC) tax, which was approved by Lehi voters on November 2, 2021. As established by the City Council, the distribution for the PARC tax allocation between parks and arts is determined annually. According to the Lehi City PARC Tax policy, up to 30% may be allocated to arts and culture each year. The funds that go towards arts and culture are used to fund the Cultural Organization Grant Program. The grants include the ongoing operations of cultural organizations AND cultural facilities. The city expects to receive approximately $1.5-2.0 million in PARC tax revenues each year. Up to 30% of that amount will be allocated to the Cultural Organization Grant Program each year.
