Lehi Water Department employees Dave Norman and Shyloh Muhlestein were presented with the Rural Water Association of Utah (RWAU) Utility Management Certification Tuesday, November 14. The certification’s purpose is to recognize and advance the professional achievements of managers in the water industry.
Robert Ranc, assistant city administrator, presented the awards. “As our city is growing, our water system is becoming more and more complex and difficult to manage and the job that Dave and Shyloh are doing is just fantastic,” Ranc said. “I think that is really representative of the certifications they receive from Rural Water. We’re grateful for all they do keep one of our most important resources running.”
According to RWAU website, the association “provides training and resources to its members to promote the success of rural water and wastewater systems throughout Utah.”
Norman was hired as the Lehi City water systems director in November 2015. Muhlestein has been with Lehi City in the Water Department for 22 years and has been the senior water meter technician since 2003.
