The primary focus of the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician is to provide basic and limited advanced emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system. This individual possesses the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation. Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians function as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical oversight. Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians perform interventions with the basic and advanced equipment typically found on an ambulance. The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician is a link from the scene to the emergency health care system.

Lehi Fire Department holds a monthly CPR class teaching American Heart Association Family and Friends® Certificate as well as Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED . These classes are taught in conduction with each other.
If you have a child that is interested in learning baby sitting tips, basic fire safety, basic first aid, what to do in an emergency, and other babysitting skills then this is the class to attend. We are asking that your children be age appropriate around the age of 10 and older.
If you have a child that is interested in learning what it takes to become a Lehi Firefighter, then this course may be for them. Students will have the opportunity to practice using equipment on the fire engines, wear the gear, learn life-saving techniques, learn about the fire departments history and much much more!
