Lehi City Administrator Jason Walker recently received the prestigious International City Managers Association (ICMA) Credentialed Manager status. Walker is 1 of only 10 ICMA Credentialed Managers in the State of Utah. He was recognized for his achievement during city council meeting on Tuesday, November 14.
According to the ICMA website, “This credential recognizes professional local government managers qualified by a combination of education and experience, adherence to high standards of integrity, and an assessed commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.”
Benjamin Reeves, Santaquin City Manager and Utah City Managers Association representative, said, “Jason is one of our very best. He is an example and mentor to his peers and is respected throughout the state. Not to mention, that he is also an adjunct professor with the BYU MPA program, working to grow and develop future generations of local government professionals.”
“Jason is the heartbeat of our city,” Mayor Bert Wilson said. “He has his finger on the pulse of everything that’s going on.”
Walker has been with Lehi City since 2014. He became the Lehi City Administrator in 2015.
