Summer is here and it’s time for picnics, BBQs, hiking, camping and celebrations. This year our nation is 243 years old and Lehi is 167 years old.
We are so blessed to live in this nation and in this city. There are so many opportunities and activities for our families to take advantage of and use to build memories.
Summer Splash Party was a first in Lehi last year and was a big hit. We are excited to have that become a new tradition here In Lehi. The event takes place on July 24 to celebrate Pioneer Day. There will be of games, bounce houses, entertainment, food, and shopping. The event will also have several bands playing all day and finishes with a concert from Foreign Figures and a firework show. It is a great opportunity to build new and lasting memories with your family.
Another exciting event and happening this month is the Library Gala. In the past, I have served as the liaison for the Library Board and I can tell you they work hard to make such wonderful events that the whole family can enjoy. This year’s gala will be based on the book, Charlotte’s Web. There will be indoor and outdoor activities. Tickets are required for the events and can be purchased at the Library for $5. I encourage everyone to try to come to the event and support our Lehi Library. We are so grateful for what they bring to the community.
Lehi Legacy Center offers swimming, basketball, cardiovascular equipment, weights, a running track, and several other programs all designed around the family.
There is the Lehi Outdoor Pool, Lehi Library, numerous trails, and several neighborhood parks throughout the city.
One of my favorite places in Lehi is Wines Park. Large trees, pavilions, lots of grass, and playground equipment. It is a great park and provides plenty of opportunity to develop family memories. If you haven’t had the opportunity to stop by Wines Park on Wednesday nights for the Food Truck Round-Up you should stop by. Food Truck night is a family favorite.
What a great city to live in with so many activities and resources available to us to continue to make summer memories. This summer let’s get out and enjoy Lehi.
