Lehi City is currently in the process of widening 1200 East from 2450 North to approximately 2700 North and 2600 North from 1200 East to 1450 East. This reconstruction project will involve a significant amount of grading, particularly near the intersection of 1200 East and 2600 North, but upon completion will provide a much better access to both pedestrian and roadway users. As part of this re-construction, the City contractor staff will need to relocate and upgrade various culinary water, pressurized irrigation, storm drainage, power, fiber-optic and gas utilities. Lehi City expects that each of these services will continue to be available to all residents during construction of this project except for brief periods when connections need to be made between the new and existing utilities. All affected residents will be notified in advance when utility services will not be available. In order to complete this construction various roadway sections will be closed to thru-traffic including: 1200 East (north of 2450 North), the intersection of 1200 East and 2600 North, 2600 North (east of 1450 East). The contractor will ensure that residents in the impacted zone will have continuous access to their residences. The City thanks its citizens and visitors for their patience while maintenance and construction crews complete their work. The City staff would like to remind drivers and pedestrians to pay careful attention to detour routes, keep speeds to a minimum and be particularly cautious while driving through residential areas affected by these construction detours. The City's contact for the construction of this project is Wade Allred (801) 836-1106.
