American Fork Canyon

American Fork Canyon is surrounded by some of Utah’s most beautiful scenery and has some of the best hiking and biking trails in Utah. The American Fork River curves its way through the canyon floor and hosts several well-kept camping sites. Throughout the year the Alpine Loop can be accessed in order to enjoy a peaceful drive encompassed by trees and wildlife. In the Fall, the Alpine Loop is used to view the breathtaking change of color in the foliage. The main attraction of American Fork Canyon is the Timpanogos Cave. The cave opens in May and offer incredible views of American Fork Canyon. The trail through the cave is 1 1/2 miles long with a 1,092 feet of elevation. Explorers may feel free to journey through the cave on their own or they may catch a guided tour. For children, there are Junior Ranger Programs available in which children are able to earn a Junior Ranger badge and also a certificate , allwhile learning important information about the State Park.
