Garbage Service

Q: When is my garbage day?
A: See the garbage day map to locate your address and day of pick up.

Q: What is the blue can, how is it different?
A: The blue can is a recycle can that only certain items can go into and it is picked up on an every other week basis, but the day of the week is the same as your regular pick-up. See enclosed list for items that are acceptable.

Q: What if the truck does not pick my cans up?
A: Please call waste management at 785-3000

Q: The garbage truck damaged my can, what do I do?
A: Please call us at 768-7100 to report the damage and to schedule a fix time.

Q: I have a larger than normal amount of garbage I need to get rid of, where do I go?
A: There is a Utah count landfill, located at 2000 W. 200 S. in Lindon. Call 225-8170, 7a.m. - 6p.m. M-F, 8a.m. - 4:30p.m. Sat. If you pay garbage to Lehi City, you are entitled to one dump pass per year available at the city offices.

Q: Where can we go to dump green waste, lawn clippings and limbs?
A: The sewage treatment plant accepts green waste, free of charge, 6400 N. 5050 W. American Fork, Mon.-Sat. 7:30-5 p.m. (756-5231). You can also purchase a green waste receptacle from Lehi City (768-7100) for your home that is dumped once a week for a monthly charge of $5.50.

Q: I would like to do a clean up to maintain an attractive neighborhood, how do I do this?
A: Lehi City offices have a neighborhood dumpster program that allows you to use an oversize dumpster (24'+8') for a weekend. There is a usage fee of $50.00 and you must apply for the dumpster at the city offices, 153 N. 100 E. (768-7100).

Billing

Q: What services are covered in my Lehi City billing?
A: All services accept your gas and phone. (i.e.… power, water, sewer, garbage, pressurized irrigation, storm drain fees and taxes.)

Q: How do I start my utilities?
A: Fill out and send in this application.

Q: What payment options are available to make my utility payments?
A: We offer several ways for you to pay your bill:

  • You may pay online at www.xpressbillpay.com.
  • You may ask for the forms to do auto withdrawals from your checking or your credit card from our office (located at 153 N. 100 E.).
  • You may send your payment in the mail.
  • You may put it into the drop box located south of our office parking in the island.
  • You may pay at the drive up window located on the west side of our building, Mon.-Fri. 9am-5pm
  • You may pay in person inside our office, Mon.-Thurs. 7am-6pm .

Q: When do I get my bill and when is it due?
A: The bills are sent out on or before the 10th of each month and they are always due on or before the 25th of that month.

Q: Where can I call for questions about my billing?
A: Please call one of our friendly clerks at 768-7100, Mon.-Thurs. 7am-6pm.

Q: How can I get information about area schools, higher education, churches, and businesses?
A: There is a webpage for each of these, or you can go to the Moving to Lehi page.

Q: Does Lehi have a Chamber of Commerce?
A: Yes, They are located in the Railroad Museum at 235 E. State Street. (766-9657)

Q: What sport and recreation activities are available?
A: The Lehi Legacy Center, located at 123 N. Center Street, has many fun and educational opportunities for your families use. Call 768-7124 or visit their page to see a listing of programs offered.

Q: How do I register to vote?
A: You can go online to www.utahcountyonline.com or visit them in person at 100 E. Center Street , Provo UT.

Q: When are the local City Council meetings?
A: City Council is held the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 153 N. 100 E. at 7:00pm.

Q: When are the local Planning and Zoning meetings?
A: Planning and Zoning meetings are the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 153 N. 100 E. at 7:00pm.

Q: How do I license my dog(s)?
A: Please bring proof of rabies certificate to the city offices to obtain your license. The fee to license a neutered dog is $10.00 and un-neutered is $25.00. We do not license cats.

Q: How do I get a business license here in Lehi?
A: Please call Joann Herbert at 768-7100 ext.270 with any questions and she can help you through the process.

Q: I have a matter I would like to talk to the Mayor about, how do I do this?
A: Please call his secretary, Judy Johnson (768-7100 ext.265), during the hours of 7am-12:30pm , M-Th, to set up an appointment.

Q: I would like to purchase cemetery plots, and or have a burial to arrange for, who do I call?
A: The Lehi City offices (153 N. 100 E.) can handle these arrangements. Call for more information at 768-7100.

Q: How do I get my Lehi Library card?
A: You must have an account with Lehi City utilities to get your free library card. You must show them the billing to get the card.

Q: How do I find out the rules and regulations for fences, etc. for my home?
A: Please call the Planning and Zoning Department at 768-7120

Q: Where can I get a plot map for my area?
A: The Planning and Zoning Department offices are located at 99 West Main Street , 768-7120.

Q: Does Lehi have a city celebration?
A: YES, we have three! Lehi Round up Week is celebrated the last full week in June, with many wonderful activities, three parades and rodeos! Lehi Family Week is celebrated the week of Thanksgiving with activities all week. Lehi Marriage Week is celebrated the week of Valentine's Day, also with activities all week.
